The Sunbelt Builders Show has become much more than your ordinary trade show; it is the one-stop-shop for anyone in the building industry. This year’s show to be held in Austin, Texas, Sept. 13-15, has more than 225 exhibitors showcasing hot products, trends and services designed to help builders (custom and volume), remodelers, general contractors and even sub-contracts advance their business and beat the competition. Bonded Builders will be there again this year. Stop by Booth 624 and say hello.
Offering a variety of networking events, a huge welcome party, a multifamily industry forum, the Texas Housing Hall of Honor & Excellence in Leadership Dinner and the Texas Association of Builders committee and board of directors meetings, Sunbelt has something for all interests.
Keynote Speaker: Lance Armstrong
Lance Armstrong is a father, cancer survivor, advocate and cycling champion. In 1996, he was a 25-year-old world-class cyclist facing a struggle for his life against testicular cancer that had spread to his brain and lungs.
Declaring himself a cancer survivor rather than a victim, he learned as much as he could about the disease and beat it despite overwhelming odds. With his treatment concluding, he created the Lance Armstrong Foundation, also known as LIVESTRONG®, to serve fellow cancer survivors.
Today, LIVESTRONG supports survivors and their families through patient navigation services, by conducting survivorship research, by advocating for funding and policies that propel the fight against cancer and by leading awareness campaigns to dispel the stigma and misconceptions about the disease.
Cancer-free, Lance returned to racing and won the Tour de France an unprecedented seven times.
In 2004, the now-iconic yellow LIVESTRONG wristbands became an international phenomenon and a grassroots symbol of support for survivors.
In 2011, Lance retired from professional cycling again to devote himself full-time to his family and to leading his Foundation. To date, LIVESTRONG® has served more than two million people through its navigation services.
Model Safety Plan Training
TAB’s Model Construction Safety Program and Jobsite Safety Standards Package was developed with input from OSHA safety experts, custom and volume builders, remodelers and attorneys who specialize in OSHA law.
TAB members and staff conferred with OSHA officials during multiple visits and communications with OSHA Region 6 Headquarters regarding the Model Safety Plan. (Region 6 includes Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and New Mexico.)
The Model Safety Plan, when utilized correctly, should result in a safer and more productive work environment.
TAB’s Model Safety Plan and training will provide you with comprehensive guidelines to help you train your employees regarding their responsibilities and to help you establish good safety procedures and systems for record keeping required by OSHA.
