As homebuilding continues to rebound in the Southwest and the rest of the nation, builders in Arizona and the surrounding states prepare for the Southwest Builders Show on Oct. 17. Bonded Builders Warranty Group will be there. Stop by Booth 103 to see us.
The Southwest Builders Show is the largest business-to-business show for homebuilders, trades, and building industry suppliers in the Southwest. Sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona, this is a must attend event.
HBACA launched the Southwest Builders Show in 2001 as part of its 50th anniversary celebration. Initially called the Home Builders Expo, the excitement over the inaugural show was curtailed a bit as the event came just a few weeks after 9/11. In spite of this, the show did quite well with 119 exhibitors filling 138 booths. More than 800 home building professionals attended. Since then, the event has grown many times over.
One of the highlights each year is the annual putting contest, which raises funds for HBACA’s official charity, Home Builders Care. This indoor event located in the middle of the show floor has all the pressure of a major golf tournament with the top prize being a new car for anyone lucky enough to make a hole-in-one.
This year’s prize is a 2013 Silverado Z71 Crew Cab truck.
In addition, the HBACA will be conducting a $2,500 door prize drawing for show attendees. At the entrance to the show each attendee will be given an entry card / map displaying the location of the sponsor booths. The object of the game is for attendees to visit each sponsor booth and get their cards stamped. Only cards completely stamped will be eligible to enter the drawing. Have some fun while networking with exhibitors to come one step closer to qualifying for a chance to win $2,500 cash.
Another highlight of the show is the HBACA’s Annual Forecast Luncheon, which offers a professional assessment of the current and future building market.
Back by popular demand, Tim Sullivan, principal of John Burns Real Estate Consulting, will offer the Forecast. Tim has more than 30 years of experience in developing growth strategies for the residential real estate market. He has developed the ability to interpret diverse statistics and trends and translate them into actionable plans. Tim’s personal commitment to his clients is to constantly assess the economy, real estate market and consumer trends to identify the newest and best ways to profitably invest and develop. This is a business planning event no homebuilder should miss.
Other highlights of the show include educational opportunities and dozens of exhibitors on the trade show floor.
