Rocklyn Homes Targets First-Time Buyers

First-time homebuyers constitute a builder’s hottest market. They don’t have a home to sell, they are not upside down on their mortgage, and they know this is a great time to buy.

Michael says Rocklyn Homes picks its communities very carefully. He says all their locations and designs are with the first-time homebuyer in mind. He says that anticipating first-time homebuyers needs and having inventory homes available has been the key to the company’s growth.

Michael also says that for buyers looking for something a little special, their plans can be adjusted to help make each home unique for a growing family’s needs.

“We have tried to come up with different flexible spaces,” Michael says. “We have an area that can be a two-story foyer or you can put a bathroom over that. We also offer a loft area that can be a bedroom or a sitting area for the master bedroom. There’s a lot we can do within the footprint of the house.”

Rocklyn Homes started building in early 2010 with a team of professionals who bring decades of experience to the new company. Michael says they built nine homes their first quarter in one community and plan to deliver 80 in 2011.

Rocklyn Homes reaches buyers by having a presence in the communities, reaching out to local realtors and having an excellent website that includes product photos, floorplans, pricing, downloadable brochures and information on the communities, schools and surrounding businesses.

“We’re doing a social media marketing campaign,” Michael says. “We have a Facebook page, we’re big on the blogs, and we use the internet to reach realtors and use their sites. All indications are that when someone is ready to buy a home, they turn to the internet. That’s where we are concentrating our efforts.”
